Thesis Related Transactions

Theses; After the Thesis Defense Exam, it will be arranged according to the relevant template and guide in the link below and will be checked by the Institute with a spiral bound thesis. The binding process of the theses that have passed the control should be done using cardboard covers in accordance with the example on our website.

The thesis must be printed in at least 6 copies to be submitted to one for the Department, one for the Advisor, one for each of the jury members, one for the central library, one for the Gradute School, one for the department library (if any), one for the Scientific Research Projects Commission (if any) and *.pdf and MS Word formats of thesis should be included in the CD on the back cover of the hardcopy. With the submitting thesis to the institute; Thesis Delivery Report, Thesis Submission Petition, Thesis Control Chart, Thesis Data Entry Form (from https://tez.yok.gov.tr), Announcement of the defence exam, Participation List of the defence exam, Personal Reports from Jury Members, Student Identity Card, student dismissal certificate and Plagiarism Report must be submitted.

NOTE: Students who will take the Thesis Defense Exam will have their thesis put into the plagiarism program by their advisor before taking the Thesis Defense Exam and the document showing the total plagiarism rate will be submitted to the institute with the thesis. Thesis plagiarism rates of graduate students of our institute; “The highest acceptable similarity rate should be 28%. In addition, citations from a single source should not exceed 5%. Responsibility in this regard belongs to the student and the advisor.

Attention: The plagiarism report indicating that the theses were included in the plagiarism program by the advisor will also be submitted to the institute with the thesis.

Access Restriction Procedures for Theses;

Restriction of access to theses is carried out in accordance with the provisions of Article 6 of the "Directive on Collecting, Arranging and Making Access to Graduate Theses in Electronic Media". Accordingly, the theses with a patent application can be restricted for 2 years according to the provisions of article 6.1, and the theses for which restrictions are requested for other reasons can be restricted for 6 months in accordance with the provisions of article 6.2. In addition, restrictions are applied ONCE only, a second extension cannot be made.
